Why should I win? Is winning all that important?
There are important philosophical questions such as what's the meaning of life or Shakespeare's classic "to be or not to be?" People compete, fight, go to war. For survival, for victory, for "more". Why?
What's the point of it all? What's the meaning of it all? What difference would it make whatever the outcome is, if it is all pointless? It wouldn't matter if I was an insensible being such as a rock, but as a human I question it. Without knowing the answer, I have no reason to move on.
